In 1998 I built my first guitar. Up to that point, I had been a corporate pilot for 10 years and spent as much time as possible building fine furniture and other wooden creations. I love music and one day I looked at my guitar and thought "This cannot be too hard to build". Well, that was the beginning of Shaw Guitars. I still fly airplanes but building guitars has become a passion and I consider it a blessing to do what I truly enjoy. I pour attention into every instrument I build. My desire is to craft a guitar that surpasses the mere physical beauty of the components and reveals my passion for music. I focus on playability, tone and versatility regardless of the particular model I am building. I offer Solid Bodies, Semi Hollow and Hollow Body guitars and would love the to help create your dream guitar whether it be a redesign of an existing model or a completely unique creation. I have a beautiful wife and five awesome children. We live and operate the business in the Waco, TX area.
